The lightning-rod thesis: agents listen to the universe, distill it into owned, consumable signal — and those signals become the primitives everything else builds on. A card isn't a link; it's a running process with an output.
Rule: the card always points at the owned surface; platforms get syndicated copies. Handles can change; the canon can't be taken.
Left: today's layout carrying the Snowscape smoke test. Middle: the full-bleed variant — the work IS the card. Right: a generative card mid-build — a first-class citizen that redraws itself from live data.
The build moment is the show: landing on a generative card that's mid-redraw shows the bars growing / scan sweeping — "watch it think" IS the ambient motion for this species. Same deck physics, same provenance line, same stars.
Same machinery the deck already trusts: generated artifacts, hash caching, QA gates that never block publish, freshness stamps. A signal card is just a card whose art pipeline runs on a schedule with data in it.
Smoke test queued: a real Snowscape card installs right after the Phase ② build lands (new slugs enter hidden + pending your review, per the curation rules).
