Camera and gestures each carry a lit ring + ON label while open. The MIC deliberately lives only in the bottom button — its red/blue/grey color IS the mic indicator, so one truth, one place, no duplicate toggle to fall out of sync — the "fully sensor open" start is legible at a glance, and turning any of them off is exactly one tap on the thing that's glowing. No menu digging to find what's watching or listening.

Why this works: lights-out mode already proves the pattern — it's the only mode that budgets the screen (measures the pill + mic reserves, gives the card the remainder). This proposal promotes that budget to all modes and adds a compact tier when the window is tight.
